Voderady, Slovakia (March 29, 2012) – Uniform Color Company (UCC) officially inaugurated its new European plant, operating as Audia Plastics s.r.o. in Voderady, Slovakia. This latest production facility joined the current European site in Otrokovice, Czech Republic, in continuing Uniform Color's expansion into the European market. After success in North America, the company first established a manufacturing presence in Europe in 2007, supporting its intent to match manufacturing footprints with global customers in target markets.
“The addition of our state-of-the-art plant and labs in Voderady emphasizes Uniform Color's commitment to providing outstanding service to our global customers,” said Thomas J. Stevens, president of Uniform Color.
The new facility in Voderady is Uniform Color's fourth manufacturing plant worldwide. It will focus on serving five core markets: Automotive, Packaging, Furniture, Building & Construction, and Consumer Products. The operation in Voderady is capable of formulating, producing, and supporting a full spectrum of color and additive masterbatches for virtually every type of polymer application. Systems are integrated with other Uniform Color facilities allowing for global communication and formula transfer. In addition to masterbatch manufacturing, the facility houses a development line and a full scale laboratory to test and certify materials.
